Missss. Bulbos Bulbos and the Birth of the Willanova Foundation
The waiting is over. The preparation for disaster is packed up and put away in the global attic. Y90K has come and gone and we’re still here. The boundaries of our countries haven’t been rearranged. Our waters haven’t risen beyond their most recent flood-lines. Our few precious arborweeds haven’t washed away. Our settlements haven’t disintegrated. Our runways are still operating. Why worry?
I’m Venoxia Bulbos-Bulbos, and I’m asking you to close your eyes and
“Imagine a world depleted of natural resources, where surviving corporations vie for the refuse of its flooded civilizations.”
That frightening world is hard to imagine, my friends, but I’m not spewing verbiage for effect. I am quoting the ancient archeologist, Dr. Ixton Verton, who suggests that we put ourselves in the shoes of our humanoid ancestors who survived The Tidal Decade of 2040. Our ancestors endured in mountaintop caves, hiding from the Corporate Elites for two thousand years before they were able to openly build a monument to their dead. All evidence points to this place as the accurate location of the burial site. My scholars concur. I am here to prove that this is so.
The developers would have you believe otherwise. They will stop at nothing to cover every inch of land with profit-making amusement parks. Development of this kind along the waterfront, as we know, is unhealthy, but destroying any structure that gets in their way, regardless of its historic and planetary import, such as this sacred site, is an abomination. That is why I am sharing this moment with you, the public, encouraging you to recognize the ancestral shoulders upon which we stand, preserve their gifts to us, recreate our past, and in so doing, design our future wisely. Let us explore the site together.
What you see before you is a contemporary artist’s backdrop re-creating the ancient city of New York just the way it is described in surviving texts. And what a city it was!! It was our ancestors’ longing for their glorious home and the honor of those who suffered and died here, that lured the first explorers out of the Connecticut caves, risking DNA theft and death at the hands of the Corporate Elites. In the few surviving pilgrimage maps we have evidence of our ancestors’ intrepid travels by land, always ending before they arrived at their destination; we can only assume, tragically. With the demise of the Elites in the year 4000, the explorers finally reached the Atlantic River. Years later, in makeshift vessels of flotsam and jetsam, they landed along these shores, and found their great city covered with water.
I believe that this ruin is what remains of the lost Temple of the Dead that the survivors erected to the memory of their ancestors of New York.
For years it was an ignored, bricked up extension to the warehouse of the powerful Cloride Brothers, and for years I have been fighting the authorities to gain entry. Only through a special injunction from the Pope was I able to temporarily stop the wrecking ball to gather the artifacts and relics that I may find - while the demolition crews wait in the sidelines!!! We will work through the night if we have to. I’ve enlisted my friends, the artists Janice Mauro and Joanne Pagano Weber to assist me in this endeavor, and as you can see, they have brought along the latest archeological equipment.
According to a blueprint which I found on a sunken ship nearby…. a carved monument, or monuments would have stood here…. like sentinels… If we could only find even a remnant of that monument!!!! It would prove everything!!
A fragment of etched aqua-silt!! If we keep digging we’ll find more!!
Yes, yes!! These fragments belong together. According to the plan the walls were wrapped with them. For all we know, some of them may still be intact under this rubble!!!
Oh, this touches my heart. An icon of The Goddess Oprah. She would have been mounted high on this wall to watch over her humanoid family, and honor their endeavor.
What is that??!! Wood! Rare and wonderful wood!! It’s a sign – oh, hurry dear assistants – the greatest tributes were carved in wood, for its preciousness!!
Yes! Yes! I knew it in my bones! The Sentinel Monuments!!......Understand this - those of you who pretend to be deaf where your pockets are concerned – EACH ONE OF THESE FIGURES REPRESENTS A MULTITUDE!
And that is why, my dear friends, we must stand together and unite. To save this holy place. For art, beauty, and the intelligent design of our future.
Mssss. Venoxia Bulbos-Bulbos fought to her last. In 8950, two weeks before her death, the lost Temple of the Dead was demolished to make way for a hotel next to the planned Willanova Waterslide Park.
A few months into construction, the plan was halted and its developers arrested upon the collapse of Monolopoly, for their participation in that historically infamous banking and money laundering network which spanned the globe, granting illegal construction contracts. Monolopy’s collapse caused the loss of the retirement investments of millions of innocent victims, precipitating a period of world poverty.
The Waterslide Park Hotel will stand on the hallowed ground of the lost Temple of the Dead for perpetuity as a historic landmark and a reminder of humanoid folly.

The Tidal Decade (2040-2050)
Ritual In the Sacred Cave
Imagine living a in a cave like this one for fear of ever being seen, escaping the global deluge and the clutches of a robotic race of mortal enemies. How would you live? What would you wear? Would you worship, love; would you appreciate art? Imagine your descendants from Connecticut erecting a temple to the dead at their ancestral home of New York, and settling there to create a whole new civilization. The exhibit opened September 13th, The Silvermine Guild of Neo-Canaan, Connecticut, and opened September 11th, Art 101, of Willanova, Brooklyn, 2009. We invited you to take the pilgrimage of our ancestors and see two exhibitions dedicated to the madcap art of future archeology - The Tidal Decade: The Private Collection of Mssss. Venoxia Bulbos-Bulbos, and Mssss. Venoxia Bulbos-Bulbos and the Willanova Foundation.
Because September, 9009, is never too late.

The Tidal Decade:
The Private Collection of Mssss. Venoxia Bulbos-Bulbos (8909-8979)
In the early ninety-first century, as we approach an era of unprecedented progress, the global community would do well to remember the lessons of the Tidal Decade, 2040-2050. This would have been impossible without the work
of Mssss. Venoxia Bulbos-Bolbos, art lover, promoter, and fashionista, also known as The Black Lily, who amassed a collection which reveals the link between antiquity and neo-antiquity. We owe our knowledge of art and life in the wake of the deluge to her quest to reveal that the art of the period would provide that link. Prior to her discovery of The Elite Tablet in 8941, The Tidal Decade was considered a popular legend, perpetuated by a mystifying absence of archeological material, and the invention of the obscure scholar, Dr. Ixton Verton (6450-6500), whose writings and artifacts were regarded as quackery by later archeologists.
With the discovery of The Elite Tablet in a mountaintop cave, Bulbos-Bulbos vindicated Verton’s legacy. In a series of pictographs, the tablet validates the suffering of our humanoid ancestors under the Corporate Elites who controlled and depleted the world’s resources, causing climate change and the deluge which covered nine tenths of the earth’s surface with water.
Mssss. Bulbos-Bulbos wasn’t satisfied with merely proving herself right. She dedicated her life to the art of hope, joy, fear, love and worship which helped humanoid life survive extinction during the horrific years when the Corporate Elites destroyed most humanoids and stole the DNA of those they deemed worthy. Mssss. Bulbos-Bulbos promoted scholarship and created institutions to house the works she discovered, which provide evidence of Ninja worship, ritual, iconography, and the deification of Oprah Winfrey. Verton asserted, and Bulbos-Bulbos proved, that Oprah Winfrey predicted the Tidal Decade in 2010, but most people of that bygone era did not heed her warning.
Mssss. Bulbos-Bulbos, a cultural avatar of neo-antiquity and a style-maker in her own time coined the popular term modwich and personified it’s essence. Her credo, “We must recreate our past if we are to successfully design our future,” has been adopted by many but taken seriously by few with the risk of dire consequences. Bulbos-Bulbos saw the contemporary urgency of overdevelopment as a peril mirroring the social conditions of antiquity as described by Dr. Verton, who got his facts from the backs of cereal boxes from the Neo-Humanoid Era. In the fifty years since her death, we of the 91st Century face the second melting of the polar icecap and most descendants of the Tidal Decade haven’t a shred of style.
